Scott Davison | Director, Legislative Affairs

Scott Davison and his wife are Carlsbad residents and the parents of a middle school student at Calavera Hills Middle School. A native of Austin, Texas, he previously served as a policy analyst for the Texas Legislature prior to combining his interest in science to pursue a career in intellectual property law.

After graduating from Texas A&M University with a degree in Biomedical Science, Scott moved to California to obtain his law degree from Pepperdine University. While at Pepperdine, he served as the Managing Editor of the Journal of the National Association of Administrative Law Judges, earned a Certificate in Entrepreneurship & Technology Law, and met his future wife, a Carlsbad native. They moved back to Carlsbad in 2006 primarily for the schools.

Once in San Diego, Scott worked as an associate with Sughrue Mion PLLC before moving to Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch, where he served as Senior Counsel until starting Musick Davison LLP in 2016. He speaks regularly on intellectual property issues and also serves on the Board of the Japan Society of San Diego & Tijuana.
